How to Succeed in 7th Grade

Well you rising 7th graders are in for a big change from 6th grade.

It's pretty hard to top my pretty bad 7th grade year that I lived through. The likely hood this happens to you is very slim but this is an example of the worst that can happen. Try having a fifty four year old man as a teacher that is cranky, touches you way too much, extremely lazy, and worst of all complains almost every day about how he doesn't get paid enough.

I forgot to mention he's lost 2 major projects and won't admit it. Let me tell you how I lived through it and how your 7th grade year will be a walk in the park if you do what I did. First, never be late.
If you're late then your teachers will think lowly instead of highly of you. Teachers think lowly of late students because they have seen the late students turn into the loud mouths. They also tend to be more lenient when grading if you're on time. Not to mention you can get detention if you're late too many times.
Second, get good grades.
If your grades are good then you get on the good side of teachers.

This is essential if you have a bad teacher because usually bad teachers have poor class averages and good students are what keep them up from significantly lower averages. So please get good grades even if it's hard! Third, be respectful.
The different meanings of respect are thrown around a lot in our society. The real definition is esteem for a sense of the worth or excellence of a person.

Respect toward a teacher can be shown in a number of ways including paying close attention, listening thoroughly, not talking, not horse playing, and most importantly, participating in class discussion.

Last but not least, don't turn in work late. Even though some nice caring teachers will only take off 10 points per day, most will usually take 30-50 points off even if it's only been one day.
Turning in work late is embarrassing and can sometimes lead to be people thinking your lazy, uneducated, and sometimes even stupid. In conclusion: being late, turning in work late, and getting bad grades will lead to a very un-enjoyable experience for you, your parents, and your teachers. Hope this helps you on your endeavoring 7th grade adventure!
